The following article will detail how to delete an excerpt in Dedoose.
There are three ways to delete excerpts:
A. To delete multiple excerpts at once:
Check the box in the Selected field for each excerpt you would like deleted.
Click the ‘Delete Selected’ button.
Follow the confirmation steps to complete the deletion.
B. To delete an excerpt that you are viewing:
Click on an excerpt from the list to open it.
Here you can inspect any attached codes, the excerpt creator, the date of creation, source file, and the text/audio/video of the excerpt itself. Clicking 'View in Context' will take you to the location of the excerpt.
Click ‘Delete Excerpt’.
Read the on screen statement to confirm this is the excerpt you want to delete.
Click ‘Yes’ to confirm the deletion.
C. To delete excerpts from their source file:
Follow (B) above to find an excerpt and click the ‘View in Context’ button.
Click the ’Delete Excerpt’ button in Selection Info.
Open the document containing the excerpt in question.
Locate the excerpt and click on the bracket to the left of it or click on the excerpt text and then the 'Edit Excerpt' button in the Selection Info box.
Click the ‘Delete Excerpt’ button.
